From 4 April to 7 April 2024 for the first time a “Mini-Hansetag” took place in the Hanseatic City of Beverly in the United Kingdom. Nine delegates from the Dutch and Rhenish Youth Hansa arrived to join eight Youth Hansa delegates from Beverley to partake in a couple of days which were full of activities about Beverley and the surrounding area.

For the duration of the event the delegates had a full schedule. On the first day the delegates were able to listen to presentations about sustainability and Fair Trade and could get to know each other while having tea and cake and getting to know the local nightlife. The following day the group travelled to the nearby city of York where they visited the local castle museum learning about everyday life in the city throughout its history. Afterwards the delegates could explore the city on their own trying the sweet treats and tea York had to offer. The third day was focused on the history of Beverly with a very enjoyable guided tour. Later the delegates got to experience the beautiful city centre and visit the famous Beverly Saturday Market taking place the same day. In the evening, the day was celebrated with a dinner and a few cozy drinks at the Monks Walk ancient Inn. During the whole event the delegates stayed in a 600-year-old friary near the city centre of town enjoying its medieval atmosphere. On the fourth and final day, the group parted their ways having enjoyed their time in Beverly. All participants agreed on doing something similar next year. A big thanks goes to Hamish as the main organiser of the event and to the sponsors the company Dunbia from Great Britain and the Hansegesellschaft-Neuss e.V.
